The story revolves around a brave Scottish military general named Macbeth and his over-ambitious character. Three witches prophesize that Macbeth will be hailed as Thane of Cawdor and the King hereafter. First Macbeth was startled, but upon receiving the news from two messengers that the previous Thane has been executed for treasons and his title is conferred upon Macbeth for his heroic deeds in the battle, Macbeth begins dreaming about ways he will become the King. The theme of the play is the will to acquire power, supernatural and evil, and loyalty.
